Knowledge Is Power was founded by people who love educating. Our passion lies with that “A-Ha!” moment when a student finally understands that math problem or can finally make sense of Shakespeare. What we do is pick up where the classroom left off. We don’t just want your child to learn for the test, we want them to be able to apply that knowledge in school as well as outside in the world. Unfortunately, this is not always possible in the classroom. Schools have strict deadlines and work at the pace of the entire class rather than an individual student. This can lead to missed information and ultimately lower grades. By providing one-on-one tutoring, we are able to work at the pace of your student. This is how we provide the best possible education to your children.
Accordingly, we apply this same premise to our admissions test preparation. In addition to test basics, we teach specific strategies and tips that will inspire confidence in your child. Our students end up with an edge over others who have taken test prep in large classes. Typically, these classes are over crowded and are taught by teachers who only know how to teach English and math, rather than SAT English or SAT math.
