The fruit can be eaten raw when it is crisp or when fully ripe and soft.  Mature height 10-12’ This Asian Permisson has large acorn shaped fruits that are wonderfully sweet when ripe.  Matures at 10-12’ This European plum is named for Damascus where it most likely originated.  The fruit is small, tart & juicy and considered the best for making preserves Both of these varieties are well known for their heavy cropping.
