"Learning the States" helps students learn about U.S. geography. Activities include locating, naming, and spelling the names of states and capitals. Maps and recorded voice are used to lead students through the learning process.

The Locate the State activity shows the the name of the state, speaks the name of the state, then asks the student to locate the state by clicking on it.

The Locate a Group of States activities ask the student to locate states in clusters such as the Atlantic and Pacific States, the Confederate States, the Original Thirteen Colonies, and other groups of states.

 The Spell the State and Spell the Capitals activities show a state and speak the name of the state and its capital. The student then learns to spell the name of the state or capital.

 The Name the State activity shows a state and a list of all 50 states. The student learns to identify the state by its location in the U.S. and by clicking on the name of the state.
