Studied Medical school at Kabul University .  Naiem became engaged in the handknotted rug business in the late 1980’s in Hamburg , Germany . Naiem immigrated to the U.S. in 1993, pursued the oriental rugs business and now Josef Oriental Rugs Inc is one of the major rugs importers in the East Coast of the United States .
