3 products - a complete K-8 spelling curriculum

The Spelling Program shown below is a set of three CD's which help students learn to spell. As students work through the program's 5,000 words, they will be taken from the basics through advanced levels.

Level 1, The Sounds of Spelling, is designed for use by children in grades K-3. It is phonics based and helps children get started with the basics of spelling.

Level 2, Spelling Words We Use, helps students in grades 2-5 learn to spell the 2,000 words they (and adults) use the most.

Level 3, Spelling Challenging Words, is a set of two programs for students in grades 4-8 and beyond. It covers homonyms, commonly confused words, and other words we commonly misspell.

The Sounds of Spelling

Over 1800 words and sentences! Helps young people spell through the use of basic phonics principles. Gives children (k-3) the opportunity to learn to spell over 1900 words, grouped into 300 word families. The students are taken through three activities for each word family and then they progress to the next word family. Tests including words from selected word families are given periodically.

Spelling Words We Use

2000 of the most common words! Helps people spell the words that they use in writing. Helps students (grades 2-5) learn to spell the most common words in the English language. The words are learned in the order of their frequency. The student is led through the three activities for each word group. At the end of each word group, one or more dictation sentences are given using words learned up to that point.
